The Deer Farm is a barnyard environment in 140 acre foothills setting. It’s important to bring a camera as guests can get up close to animals including an elk, baby goat, camel, zebra, “zonkie,” emu, kangaroo, pot-bellied pig, deer, mini horses, draft horses, and cattle. The Riding Stables welcomes riders from infant to elderly. Trails are 8 to 10 feet wide and 85 percent shady. Reservations are recommended for horse riding only.

There are guides, special lighting effects, and a stereophonic sound presentation. By the way, this is one of the most beautiful drives imaginable.

This wonderful (and nearby) little gem of a dinner theater allows guests of all ages to be part of a delightful whodunit. All guests become sleuths to solve a humorous mystery that is acted out before their eyes. The mysteries are not scary, so children can enjoy the show as much as the adults. During the mystery, a four-course meal is served by waiters who are as entertaining as the actors.

Ober Gatlinburg is an amusement park and ski area, located in the mountains overlooking Gatlinburg. The area contains a large mall with indoor amusements, a skating rink, snack bars, a restaurant, and gift and clothing stores. Outside there is an alpine slide, a scenic chairlift to the top of Mount Harrison, and kiddie rides. At the Wildlife Encounter, visitors can see native animals close-up, including bears,
river otters, opossums, raccoons, turtles, snakes, and flying squirrels. An aerial tram
connects Ober Gatlinburg to downtown Gatlinburg.
